The Washington Post has tapped Jill Martin as a multiplatform editor on the news copy desk. In her new role, Martin will be copy editing the Weekend section.
Martin joins from E&E News, the Politico publication covering energy, environment and Congress, where she was most recently a news editor. Before that, she was a copy editor at E&E News. She was also a copy editor and page designer at The Virginian-Pilot and Link, a young-reader publication by Pilot Media.
She also held the same posts at the Augusta Chronicle in Georgia. She was also an intern at the Star-Ledger in Newark, N.J.
Martin graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in journalism.
