Manchester Evening News taps Carey to serve as local democracy reporter

Declan Carey

Declan Carey has joined Reach plc’s Manchester Evening News as a local democracy reporter. Previously, he worked as a reporter for Reach plc’s other title, Daily Express Online, covering foreign affairs and politics.

Carey joined Reach plc in May 2021 as a community news writer. Previously, he has worked as an English teacher at the British Council and professional training and coaching services at James Cook Languages s.r.o. in Prague.

Carey has a B.A. from Keele University in England.
