Lucia departs Route Fifty for States Newsroom

Bill Lucia

Bill Lucia will join States Newsroom as an editor for its soon-to-launch newsroom covering Washington state policy and politics.

Lucia had been with Route Fifty for more than seven years. He joined as a senior reporter covering state and local government across the U.S. He then served as editor, and recently as executive editor.

At Inside Washington Publishers, Lucia reported on and researched issues related to foreign trade policy and agreements. He covered Seattle city government and politics for Crosscut Public Media.

Lucia has a bachelor’s degree from New York University and a master’s degree from Evans School of Public Policy and Governance, University of Washington.
