Susan Levine will join The Washington Post’s America team as a deputy editor later this month.
Levine has been with the Post for more than 22 years, serving as a metro reporter; special projects reporter; assistant Virgina editor; and deputy health, science and environment editor on the National desk.
Since 2018, she has been editor of the Talent Network, a role in which she coordinated freelancers for breaking-news coverage of mass shootings, hurricanes, protests and political rallies. She also oversaw enterprise stories on a wide range of topics.
Levine also worked on the International desk as an interim deputy editor and edited the Asia team for two months from Seoul, Taipei and Washington.
She also worked at Politico as deputy editor of its healthcare policy vertical.
Levine has degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and Columbia University.
