Lemmerman swaps Politico for the NY Times’ D.C. bureau

Randy Lemmerman

The New York Times has hired Randy Lemmerman as a senior staff editor in the Washington bureau.

Lemmerman comes from Politoco, where worked for more than six years as a night editor. He was previously a New York Times editor in the Paris bureau.

He also served as deputy news editor at the International Herald Tribune in Paris and spent more than seven years at The Oregonian, where he held the posts of copy editor, night news editor, suburban bureau chief and national-international editor.

Lemmerman has degrees from the University of Oregon and California State University, Long Beach.
