Leaf Group taps Lowenstein to lead health and wellness websites

Leaf Group, which was acquired by Graham Holdings, owner of The Washington Post and Newsweek, has appointed Kate Lowenstein to oversee its health and wellness websites, Well+Good and LIVESTRONG.com.

Recently, Lowenstein served as global editor-in-chief at Vice. Before that, she held the posts of editor-in-chief and editorial director, news and issues. She was founding editor-in-chief of Vice’s health and science channel, Tonic.

She formerly served as health director at Prevention Magazine, senior features editor at Health magazine, Time Inc., and health editor at About.com, New York Times.

She was also a senior editor at Time Out New York.

Lowenstein has a B.A. from Yale University.
