The Lincoln County News in Maine has expanded its editorial department by welcoming three new staff members — copy editor Maggie Dewane, reporter Hailey Bryant, and intern Alyce McFadden.

Dewane joined the Lincoln County News on March 23. Previously, Dewane was U.S. communications manager at Marine Stewardship Council and before that, she was serving as communications and press officer at Environmental Investigation Agency U.S.

In addition, she has also interned at the Executive Office of the President, the White House and has also worked as a communications intern at Columbia University.

Dewane is a B.S. from Seton Hall University and a M.P.A. in environmental science and policy from Columbia University.

Hailey Bryant started working at the newspaper on May 21.

In her new role, she succeeds Jessica Clifford as reporter for the towns of Alna, Dresden, Edgecomb, Westport Island, Whitefield, and Wiscasset.

Previously, Bryant was first a news desk intern and then a digital intern at Bangor Daily News. She has also served as a news writer at The Maine Campus.

Bryant is a graduate of University of Maine.

McFadden joined the editorial department as an intern on May 21. Her responsibilities include writing feature stories, assisting with news coverage, and helping with projects in the editorial department.

Previously, McFadden was with The Bowdoin Orient where she first held the post of features editor. Later on, she served as managing editor and was then promoted to the post of editor-in-chief.

McFadden is a graduate of Bowdoin College.
