Annabel Aguiar, state issues reporter at Lansing State Journal in Michigan will leave to join Poynter as an audience engagement producer. She begins next month.
Aguiar was also a features reporter at The Washington Post and a reporter at WFHB-FM 91.3 in Bloomington, Ind.
Aguiar has a B.A. in journalism from Indiana University Bloomington.
