LAist hires Wells as ME, daily news

Jason Wells

Jason Wells will join LAist as managing editor of daily news. Recently, he served as executive editor of news at BuzzFeed, where he has worked for more than eight years.

There, Wells has also held the posts of news editor, deputy news director and Los Angeles news bureau chief. In more than 18 years at the Los Angeles Times, he held the posts of managing editor, news: Times Community News, and assistant morning assignment editor.

Wells has a B.A. from San Diego State University.
