The Los Angeles Times has tapped Rebecca Bryant as deputy politics editor. In her new role, she will help oversee the midterm elections coverage after a short stint with the Washington D.C. bureau.
Recently, she had been working on the 2020 presidential election coverage as an assistant editor, leading breaking news and live blogs. During this time, she also conceptualized and edited enterprise stories.
Prior to this, she served as an assistant editor on the National/Foreign desk and the 2018 midterm elections staff.
