LA Times names Ray metro reporter

Justin Ray

Justin Ray is now a metro reporter at the Los Angeles Times and will be leading the Essential California daily newsletter.

Previously, he held the post of audience editor.

Ray has also served as a digital media editor at Columbia Journalism Review and was a weekend digital editor at NBC New York. He was also a web producer at NBC Chicago and a news associate at NBC News.

He has also worked as an overnight weekend editor at NBCUniversal Inc. and was a contributing writer at Complex Media.

Ray has also interned at NBC, Billboard and Design Bureau.

Ray is a B.A. in journalism and English from Loyola University of Chicago and holds a master’s degree from New York University.
