Kinsee Morlan, a supervising editor at the Los Angeles Times, has left for a post in the San Diego mayor’s office. Her tweet reads:
“After one incredible year at the @latimes , I’ve decided to make a big career change. I am beyond thrilled to be joining @MayorToddGloria’s office. I cannot wait to roll up my sleeves and get to work! #ToddSquad, here I come!”
Previously, Morlan worked as a podcast producer and project coordinator at KPBS-TV Ch, 15, a PBS member station in San Diego. She was an engagement editor at the Voice of San Diego, where she wrote the weekly Culture Report.
She was an arts editor at San Diego’s alternative weekly, San Diego CityBeat.
Morlan has a B.A. from San Diego State University.
