Corinne Purtill has joined the Los Angeles Times as a science and medicine reporter. She has covered behavior, aging, science and technology as a freelancer for the New Yorker, the New York Times, Time Magazine, and more.
Purtill worked as a senior reporter at Quartz, focusing on behavioral psychology, science, health, and work-life issues. She was also a senior correspondent at GlobalPost and a reporter at The Arizona Republic.
She previously covered politics, immigrant populations, crime and social issues as a general assignment reporter for the Washington Post’s community newspapers.
Purtill has a B.A. in English from Stanford University.
