Matthew Kupfer, Central Asia editor at The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project in Phoenix, has left and joined the San Francisco Standard as an investigative reporter.
Previously, Kupfer covered politics, business and human rights for the Kyiv Post, where he later served as a news editor.
In addition, he worked in Ukraine at The Odessa Review and Hromadske International. He was also a journalist at The Moscow Times.
Kupfer has a B.A. from Brandeis University and a master’s degree from Harvard University.
