Lara Korte will be joining Politico’s California team to co-author the California Playbook with Jeremy White, who has been a part of the team since 2018. She comes from The Sacramento Bee, where she serves as California political reporter.
Before that, she was a higher education reporter at the Austin American-Statesman. She was also a reporting fellow at The Texas Tribune and an intern at The Kansas City Star.
Additionally, she has also interned at The Wall Street Journal, The Cincinnati Enquirer and The Wichita Eagle.
Korte is a University of Kansas graduate.
