Maya King will be joining The New York Times as a political reporter adding coverage to the South. She begins on Feb. 22.
King has recently been working as a politics reporter at Politico, where she covered the relationship between race and national politics. She has also interned in Washington D.C. at Democracy Fund and Women’s Media Center.
She has also interned at USA Today and NPR.
King has a B.A. in journalism from Howard University.
