Sammy Caiola has joined the Kensington Voice on a part-time basis as a special projects reporter to cover police accountability in the neighborhood.
Since June 2023, Caiola has served as a mentor for four reporters completing long-form stories as part of USC’s Domestic Violence Impact Fund.
Previously, she worked as a gun violence prevention reporter at Philadelphia’s NPR member station WHYY and as a health care reporter at CapRadio, a post she also held at The Sacramento Bee.
She interned at Time Out Chicago, The Chicago Reader and Bon Appétit.
Caiola has a B.A. in journalism from Northwestern University.
