States Newsroom has hired Abe Kenmore in its new South Carolina bureau. Currently, he is a statewide reporter at The Augusta Chronicle, part of the Gannett | USA Today Network.
Kenmore wrote on X/Twitter:
“I’ve really enjoyed covering Georgia the past few years, and I’m going to miss it, but also excited to be part of the new South Carolina bureau for States Newsroom led by @seannaadcox_sn – stay tuned for more soon!”
He has also worked as a higher education and general assignment reporter. He also covered county, state and federal government — including the 2018 congressional race for Watertown Daily Times in New York.
Kenmore has a B.A. from Guilford College in North Carolina and a master’s degree from Duke University Sanford School of Public Policy.
