The Washington Post has hired Anumita Kaur as a general assignment reporter to cover breaking news and to write of-the-moment features.
Kaur joined from the Los Angeles Times, where she was a Washington-based fellow covering Congress and the White House, the Jan. 6 hearings, and the Biden administration’s actions on covid-19 and the climate.
Before that, she was a news reporter at Gannett | USA Today Network and worked freelance for Pleasanton Weekly in California. She interned at Pacific Standard Magazine and the Center for American Progress.
Kaur has a B.A. from UC Santa Barbara.
