Gyan Yankovich has joined Junkee Media as its new managing editor overseeing editorial teams working across Junkee, Music Junkee, Punkee, and AWOL.
Previously, she was a managing editor at Man Repeller, managing the editorial calendar, setting editorial deadlines, and overseeing editorial and partnerships teams, scheduling and publishing all editorial content and managing editorial budgets, contracts, and staff onboarding among other tasks.
Yankovich has also worked as a senior lifestyle editor at BuzzFeed, managing and editing a team of writers working on BuzzFeed media brands. She also commissioned and edited a roster of freelance writers among other tasks.
She has also worked freelance and was a beauty editor, CLEO and DOLLY, at Bauer Media. Yankovich has also worked at ACP Magazines for more than 2 years, joining as editorial and beauty assistant for cosmopolitan and then holding the post of digital content manager, cosmopolitan.
Yankovich graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor’s degree in journalism.
