The Washington Post has hired Whitney Juckno as its new multiplatform editor.
Her new role begins Oct. 8.
Currently, Juckno is a multiplatform editor and designer with the News Tribune on its editing and presentation team.
She also has international working experience, serving as national editor in Seoul with Korea JoongAng Daily, a partnership of the International New York Times and South Korea’s top English-language newspaper.
Juckno has also worked at Gannett as content editor and designer and she was also with The Cambodia Daily for more than 4 years, working first as an associate editor and then as weekend editor.
In addition, she has also held the posts of copy editor and designer and student journalist at The Monitor and Columbia Missourian, respectively.
Juckno is a graduate of the University of Missouri in Columbia and holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
