Hunter Shelton, a lead editor at Wildcats Today, a FanNation/Sports Illustrated channel, wrote on Twitter:
“Personal/career news: Yesterday was my last day on the Kentucky beat. Covering UK in my first year out of school was an opportunity I’m beyond grateful for. After 23 years in Lexington, it’s time for a change.”
At Wildcats Today, Shelton covered the University of Kentucky’s football, men’s basketball, baseball, recruiting and more. He interned at Kentucky Sports Radio.
Shelton has a bachelor’s degree in print journalism from the University of Kentucky, where he worked as a sports reporter and sports editor at the student newspaper the Kentucky Kernel.
