Jones departs USA Today for The Athletic

Mike Jones

Mike Jones, national NFL reporter and columnist at USA Today has left after five years to join The Athletic as a national NFL writer. Jones tweets:

“I’m extremely grateful for all of the experiences and growth opportunities and relationships built with some really special people there the last five years.”

Previously, Jones worked as a sports writer at The Washington Post and The Washington Times.

Jones graduated from Lord Fairfax Community College in Virginia.
