Johnson joins Vice News as a D.C. bureau correspondent

Alexis Johnson is joining Vice News D.C. bureau as a correspondent, reports Politico.

Previously, Johnson was working at Pittsburgh Post-Gazette for more than 2 years now, joining as a digital news editor and then holding the post of trending news reporter. Johnson’s reporting focuses on digital, trending and viral news with experience in broadcast, online and print journalism.

She was also a freelance entertainment writer for Urban Islandz and a breaking news reporter at NJ.com. She has also served as a multimedia journalist at WVVA and as a production assistant at NBC10-WCAU.

She was also a production coordinator at VITAC and an intern at Pittsburgh Community Television.

Johnson earned her Bachelor’s degree in communication and media studies from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her Master’s degree in media studies and production from Temple University.
