Arit John has joined CNN as a national politics reporter to cover the 2024 presidential election, the stories that come up as voters evaluate the candidate field and the issues important to them.
John will be based in Washington, D.C.
Recently, she was a national political correspondent at The Los Angeles Times, where she joined in February 2020 as a reporter. Previously, she reported for The New York Times Styles desk, where she covered cultural trends.
She also reported for Bloomberg and covered politics and culture for The Atlantic’s breaking news site The Wire.
John, who interned at The Hollywood Reporter, has a B.A. in English literature from UCLA.
