Job change for NY Times’ Peer

Basharat Peer

Basharat Peer is leaving The New York Times, where he was a staff editor for international opinion, reports Politico.

However, he will stay with The Times as a contributing writer for opinion and will also work on a number of long-term writing projects.

Peer has also worked at The Guardian, The New Yorker, Foreign Policy Magazine, Literary Hub and Gulf News among others.

Peer holds a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University, New York.
