Jellyfish appoints Harris as first global chief marketing officer

Jellyfish, a digital partner to the world’s leading brands, has named Sharon Harris as its first global chief marketing officer overseeing the company’s international marketing strategy across 30 offices as Jellyfish continues to expand as a global digital partner.

She will focus on helping brands embrace digital transformation as the next evolution of business on a global scale. She will also be managing diversity and inclusion initiatives with a focus on advancing women and increasing representation in digital technology careers.

Harris has over 20 years of experience and joins Jellyfish from Deloitte Consulting where she was serving as VP, alliance relationships for Google. She has also worked as a senior product manager at T-Mobile and was principal product manager, mobile at AOL/Verizon.

She also worked at Microsoft for more than 3 years, joining as senior product marketing manager, Windows 8 Ads-in-Apps and then holding the post of global sales strategy lead, Windows 9 Ads-in-Apps and mobility.

She has also worked as director of global sales development at JumpTap and was vice president of marketing at IAC Advertising Solutions. She was also VP, marketing at IAC and has served as director of ad sales marketing at Reuters for 2 years.

Additionally, she has also worked at Discovery Communications, Sirius Satellite Radio and D.E. Shaw.

Harris is a B.A. in literature from New York University.
