Ittefaq is an assistant professor at James Madison University. He is the co-founder of the Asian Journalism Network, which promotes free media and investigative journalism in the Asian region.
He was an international correspondent at the Society of Professional Journalists.
Ittefaq has a Ph.D. from the University of Kansas.
