The Irish News has hired Chris Sherrard as an editor. Recently, he was at Reach plc, where he worked for more than eight years.
At Reach plc, Sherrard held the posts of editor, editor-in-chief and, audience and content director. He also served as editor of the Daily Mirror.
He was a night editor and digital publishing executive at Trinity Mirror plc. He also worked at Sky and Johnston Press.
Sherrard has a B.A. in journalism from the University of Sunderland in England.
