Amy Blaney, a Dublin reporter at the Irish Independent, has taken on the role of fast news editor.
Previously, Blaney worked at the Irish Independent from March 2021 to September 2021 as a journalist. After departing, she started at The Irish Times as a digital journalist, where she previously freelanced.
She also held the posts of production assistant and social media reporter at RTE.
Blaney has a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
