Nonprofit newsroom InvestigateWest has appointed Kaylee Tornay and Zachariah Bryan as investigative reporters.
Recently, Tornay was an education and general assignment reporter at The Santa Rosa Press Democrat in California. She previously served an education reporter at the Medford Mail Tribune in Oregon. She was also an intern at Billy Penn, a local news outlet in Philadelphia. Tornay graduated from the University of Oregon.
Bryan joined from Everett Herald in Washington state, where he recently covered the environment, public safety and was an assistant news editor. He also reported for Community News Service in Montana, the Business Examiner in Tacoma, Wash. and the Ballard News-Tribune in Seattle. Bryan has a B.A. from Seattle Pacific University and a master’s degree from the University of Montana.
