Inside Memphis Business announces leadership change

Samuel X. Cicci and Jon W. Sparks

Contemporary Media’s business publication, Inside Memphis Business has a new editor, Samuel X. Cicci.

Cicci succeeds Jon W. Sparks and will begin his new role starting May 1.

Sparks will continue with Contemporary Media, writing for Inside Memphis Business and for the company’s other publications.

Previously, Cicci held the post of associate editor at the company. He was also an editorial content director at JustMyMemphis and a production associate at тthe Center for Southern Folklore. He was also a staff writer at The Bridge: The Memphis Street Paper.

He has also worked as a writer at The Nameless Bards and was a resident assistant at the 2014 Rhodes College Summer Writing Institute.

Cicci is a B.A. in English literature and creative writing from Rhodes College.
