IndieWire has named Ryan Lattanzio as deputy managing editor overseeing the daily coverage for the news team. He also manages the IndieWire’s social media team.
He is based in New York and reports to executive managing editor Christian Blauvelt.
Lattanzio joined IndieWire in 2019 as a weekend editor. He previously worked at the site from May 2012 to January 2016 as a staff writer/editor. Between leaving IndieWire in January 2016 and rejoining in 2019, he was a communications editor at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles.
He has also worked as a content writer and social media coordinator at Furlined LLC, a production company based in Los Angeles. He was also an arts and entertainment writer at the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
Additionally, he has interned at and was a features reporter at the San Francisco Chronicle.
Lattanzio has a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
