Michael A. “Mike” Harmon has joined the Perry County News (PCN) as a reporter. Harmon has been a Tell City resident since 2019 when he relocated here for family. He has contributed to the PCN in the past as a correspondent and picks up his new duties in reporting on all newsworthy items in Perry County and the surrounding areas. He asks that everyone in the area contact him through the PCN offices or his listed cell phone if there are news items that would be a benefit and interest to the community.
Previously Mike has written magazine and newspaper articles covering mostly financial matters. He has also worked in the banking, insurance, medical services and business consulting industries. Further, he has been a seminar speaker as well as author on business planning and feasibility studies, and a lecturer in Money and Banking classes at the Louisiana Banker’s Association (LBA).
He attend Louisiana State University and took classes on both the Baton Rouge and New Orleans campuses. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the New Orleans campus.
