Long Lead has hired Sarah Rogers as a creative director, a role in which she will partner with photojournalists, filmmakers, designers, agencies and researchers to bring groundbreaking visuals to Long Lead’s award-winning reporting.
“Long Lead is a boutique powerhouse raising the bar on longform journalism and visual storytelling. I’m honored to join this team and continue telling important stories.,” Rogers said.
Previously, Rogers helmed creative teams at CNN and The Daily Beast. Her work has also been featured in The New York Times, ABC News, Rolling Stone and Prison Journalism Project.
Heather Muse has been named Long Lead’s audience development manager. Previously, she served as an editorial director at Known and as director of audience development at Reviewed, part of the USA Today Network.
“I’m excited to join the team at Long Lead and help fulfill its mission of producing journalism that affects change. So many people are searching for compelling, in-depth storytelling. It’s my goal to find them and introduce them to our creative, eye-opening work.,” Muse added.
Muse held editorial roles at Fortune and Rolling Stone and had worked as a web producer at CNNMoney.com. Muse graduated from New York University with a B.A. in journalism and mass communication.
Long Lead is a two-year-old media outlet that produces immersive, multimedia projects from independent journalists.
