The Associated Press has hired Emmanuel Igunza as an East Africa reporter.
Igunza has spent more than a decade at the BBC, where he first worked as a foreign correspondent and then as a senior journalist reporter. He was a writer at The Institute of War and Peace Reporting in London.
He also worked in Kenya as a news presenter/reporter at Nation Media Group.
Igunza has a bachelor’s degree from Tangaza College, Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
