Houston Chronicle appoints Gray Op-Ed editor

Lisa Gray

Lisa Gray has joined the Houston Chronicle as an Op-Ed editor. Recently, she was a podcast host and newsletter writer at City Cast Houston.

Previously, Gray worked at the Houston Chronicle for more than 16 years from February 2005 to September 2021.

During this time, she held the posts of arts editor, columnist, member of the editorial board, education reporter, web-first magazine Gray Matters editor, features enterprise editor, senior editor for digital, reporter on race, gender and religion, acting op-ed editor, reporter and podcast host.

She also served as the managing editor of the Washington City Paper.

Gray has a B.A. from Rice University.
