Recently, Holmes was a research fellow at Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School, where she served as deputy editor of the Media Manipulation Casebook, which publishes deep-dive investigations into viral misinformation and disinformation campaigns.
She was an international editor and politics and society editor at The Conversation US. She served as interim executive director/publisher at the nonprofit North American Congress on Latin America.
She covered Latin America, Spain and Portugal-related travel news and trends for American Express Publishing.
Holmes graduated from Wesleyan University.
