Arika Herron, an education reporter at The Indianapolis Star, will leave to join Axios to “help build something new while continuing to cover this city I love for their forthcoming Indianapolis newsletter,” as per her tweet.
Herron begins March. 13.
Previously, she was an education reporter at the Winston-Salem Journal. At the Greenfield Daily Reporter, she was a staff writer focused on issues concerning businesses and nonprofits in Hancock County. She interned at National Geographic Society.
Herron has a B.A. in journalism from Butler University in Indianapolis, Ind.
