Hernandez leaves San Francisco Chronicle to join HuffPost as front page editor

HuffPost has tapped Lauren Hernandez as a front page editor after a stint covering breaking news, general news and crime for the San Francisco Chronicle.

Hernandez has also served as a breaking news reporter at Gannett’s Statesman Journal in Salem, Ore. She interned at Desert Sun Media Group and the Silicon Valley Business Journal. She also wrote for San Jose State University.

Hernandez has a B.S. in journalism from San Jose State University.
