Hearst promotes Hofmockel to managing editor of audience and innovation

Hearst Connecticut Media Group has appointed Mandy Hofmockel managing editor, audience and innovation. She previously served as managing editor, audience.

Hofmockel served as an internet news manager, weekend/homepage editor and deputy editor of news at Newsday. She was also a producer at MassLive.com and was an intern at Trib Total Media, Reveal from the Center for Investigative Reporting and Digital First Media.

Hofmockel has a B.A. in media studies from Penn State University, where she worked at the student paper, The Daily Collegian.
