Hasan to join NPR’s KUT as a senior editor

Syeda Hasan

Syeda Hasan, a daily news editor at North Texas NPR outlet KERA News, will join KUT-FM 90.5, NPR’s radio station in Austin, as a senior editor.

Hasan joined KERA News in 2019 as a mental health reporter. Before that, she covered real estate and development reporter at KUT Public Media. She reported for Houston Public Media, where she covered public health, homelessness and county government.

Hasan has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and French from the University of Texas at Austin.
