Maham Hasan and Wilson Wong will join The New York Times Residency Program on Nov. 14. An excerpt from the announcement reads:
“Times residents edit work from across our newsroom, including daily and enterprise news articles, visuals and special projects. They begin their residency on the Flexible Editing desk, honing their skills under the tutelage of Lillie Dremeaux, an assistant editor with a deep understanding of Times journalism. Alexa Mills, a senior editor on the Career Programs team, leads the program.”
Hasan will join from Vanity Fair, where she worked for more than three years, first as an associate producer and then as a web producer. She interned at New York Magazine and ELLE. Hasan has a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a M.A. from New York University.
Wong comes from NBC News, where he was a staff writer. A graduate of Tufts University, he also served as managing editor of the Tufts Observer.
