The Washington Post has appointed Jintak Han a breaking news photo editor, based in Seoul.
As per the Post:
“In this new role, Jintak will lead the visual coverage in breaking news situations, as well as illustrate news and enterprise stories and help curate the photos on the homepage during the overnight hours in Washington. This position in Seoul allows the Photo Department to support the newsroom’s 24-hour cycle.”
Recently, Han freelanced for outlets, including Zuma Press and USA Today.
He interned at the Denver Post and the South Korean national daily Hankook Ilbo.
Han has a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and a master’s degree from Ohio University.
