Urban policy journal Vital City has hired Josh Greenman as managing editor. Greenman said,
“I’m really excited to help Vital City find and publish smart longer-form writing on everything from public safety to education to culture to economics, all with an eye to describing what makes New York City inimitable and challenging it to be better. We will showcase social science, personal essays and even fiction to engage readers and offer policymakers pragmatic solutions to bedeviling problems.”
Recently, Greenman was at the New York Daily News, where he worked for more than 16 years as an opinion editor and editorial page editor.
Greenman will continue to be a part of the News’ editorial board, where he will transition to senior contributing member.
Greenman graduated from Yale University.
