The New York Times has appointed Jerry Gray its New York-based deputy on the International Edition.
Gray has served as a weekend editor on National and he was one of the members of the News Print Hub, joining in 2016 as its weekend editor.
Tom Jolly, his current boss said:
“As his colleagues in the Print Hub will tell you Jerry is beloved, not only for the way he has lobbied on behalf of the team when difficulties arise, but also because he is always among the first to reach out when someone needs to hear a friendly voice or is in need of support for one reason or another.”
Gray has been with the Times for more than 30 years, previously serving as a Washington correspondent and a reporter in New York.
