Samar Khurshid, a city government reporter at the Gotham Gazette, is set to depart. The Gazette, an online publication that covers New York policy and politics, is temporarily suspending publication.
Khurshid’s tweet reads:
“I’ll be taking a much-needed break for a while as I figure out next steps. Thank you to all our readers for your support all these years!”
Khurshid has been with the Gazette for more than eight years joining as a contributing reporter. He interned at CQ Roll Call and Metro New York.
He also wrote a blog on poverty and related issues at the New York University.
Khurshid has a B.A. from St. Stephen’s College in India and an M.A. in magazine journalism from New York University.
