Girdwood departs NPR Politics

Barton Girdwood

Barton Girdwood, the lead producer for The NPR Politics Podcast, has left the politics team. However, he has not left NPR and will be launching a new podcast soon.

Before working on this podcast, he helped create and launch NPR’s Up First, which became one of the company’s top podcasts. The podcast was created from NPR’s Morning Edition, where Girdwood directed the flagship program and pitched and produced daily segments for the program.

Girdwood graduated from Indiana University Bloomington.
