She previously worked at Documented, which provides coverage of New York’s immigrants and the politics that affect them, as a newsletter writer. She was also a writer/editor at thisisthebronx.info and a news editor at The Meridian in New York.
Garcia has also interned at City Limits in New York.
Garcia has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College.
