Maya Wilkins has joined the Journal Gazette in Ft. Wayne, Ind. as a general assignment reporter to cover local news stories focused on health care and public health.
Recently, Wilkins was a reporter at the Marion Chronicle-Tribune. Before that, she interned at and then served as a real estate reporter at the St. Louis Magazine, where she wrote weekly posts for “On the Market” newsletter.
Wilkins graduated from Ball State University, where she worked at the student paper, The Ball State Daily News.
